Supporting Puahi’s

Aloha and mahalo for supporting Puahi’s. Puahi’s Polynesian Dance Co. teaches Hawaiian and Tahitian culture through dance, language, and history, giving students a deep, respectful grounding in both tradition and practice. Dancers carefully translate mele and research the songs so their performance truly reflects the cultural meanings and storytelling of the traditions.

Our dancers have won many Tahitian competition awards, including 1st place in the ‘Otea. At the 2019 E Hula Mau in Long Beach, we placed 1st in Kahiko Kaikamahine, 2nd in Kaikamahine ‘Auana, 2nd in Hula Kahiko & ‘Auana overall, and 1st in ‘Olelo (language), demonstrating our commitment to excellence in both dance and cultural knowledge.

Competition costs—costumes, fresh adornments, travel, training, and hotels—are substantial. As a not-for-profit organization, we depend on the generosity of our community and donors.

Puahi’s Polynesian Dance Company invites you to join a meaningful tradition of cultural preservation and community enrichment through your donation.
